Here are the 2017 iPhone Photography Awards winners

This is the 10th year of the iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAwards), and each year seems to get bigger and better as iPhone camera technology gets better and people are increasingly becoming interested in mobile photography.

The IPPAWARDS was established in 2007 – the year the Apple released the first iPhone. The contest has become the longest running photo contests celebrating the creativity of iPhone photographers.

“We are amazed to see how IPPAWARDS has grown from a small circle of people and friends of friends into a truly global audience with thousands of participants. In this time of political upheaval we feel very thankful to host such a truly diverse group of people and their view of the world,” Kenan Aktulan, creator of the IPPAWARDS said in a press release.

Photographers from over 140 countries around the world submitted thousand of photos to the contest. Prizes were given in categories such as People, Portrait, Still Life, Abstract, and Travel.  This year the IPPA created a special category called “The America I know” which gave photographers the opportunity to submit a variety of photographs that offer their personal perspective of America.
