Two well-known former Nova Scotia politicians will be made Officers of the Order of Canada on Friday.
Former premier John Hamm and former NDP leader and Halifax MP Alexa McDonough are receiving the honour along with a diverse cast of famous Canadians, including Mario Lemieux and Burton Cummings.
McDonough said she’s “very honoured” to be made an Officer.
