The Look: Post-apocalyptic urban warriors

The Runway: This fashion show had everything: a teen gospel choir, a model in crutches, giant plastic chokers that doubled as public-shaming stocks, military jackets held together with safety pins (a la vintage Versace), a Great Dane.
It was electric — ending with the singers belting “hallelujahs” to epic thunder crashes — sparking arguments about what it all meant: a response to Ferguson, a commentary on the breakdown of masculinity, a celebration of the freedom of the individual? But designer Shayne Oliver also presented great, wearable clothes: endless variations on denim (shredded, painted, zippered), leather bombers, deconstructed blazers and white shirts, and of course logo-ed Tees and sweatshirts, some in a trompe l’oeil armor print.

Insta-worthy: The dog!

The Takeaway: Expect the HBA cult to get bigger.
