A week ago Sunday, Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli was publicly flirting with the idea of trading Tyler Seguin due to immaturity issues.

Today, Seguin is a member of the Dallas Stars and he has already made a Twitter “oops” related to his new place of employment.

Seguin’s Twitter account (@tylerseguin92) sent out this tweet Saturday night: “Only steers and queers in Texas, and I’m not a cow.”

He followed up the tweet with “Twitter hacking has to stop. My apologies.”

This is the second time this year that Seguin has been written up by the Twitter police for using a homophobic phrase. In April, Seguin apologized for using the phrase “no homo.”

“Just listened to the song in my bed. Gave me goosebumps no homo. My roomate and boy have some skills @freddybender @KnucklesNBS”

Seguin’s mom, Jackie, reacted with disgust when told about a Boston Herald story which claimed Seguin was traded away from the Bruins due to partying too much and that at one point Bruins management had to guard his hotel door in Toronto so that he would not go out and party.

“Oh my god! That’s stupid stuff,” Jackie Seguin told the Toronto Star. “That’s very unfair to say that. He’s a professional. That makes me very angry.”
