If you aren’t looking for a wardrobe update, there are other ways to get involved in Breast Cancer Awareness Month. After losing her mother to the disease, NYC resident Shari Brooks started Bake It Happen. To participate, bake one of the recipes on her website and post it on social media using the hashtag #BakeitHappen. For every post, a donation is made to the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation. To make your baking go even further, donate your batch of cookies or cupcakes to a bake sale in your community.
