Hwy. 403 open again after fatal crash

A Mississauga man is dead after his car drifted across three lanes,
rolled over and crashed into a steel barrier early this morning.

Police closed Hwy. 403 southbound lanes for more than four hours as
a collision reconstruction team investigated the scene. The highway has
since reopened.

The man, 24, was driving southbound near Eglinton Ave. W. around 3 a.m. when he lost control of his Mazda 626, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are looking at whether speed and fatigue were factors in the crash.

“We’re talking to witnesses trying to figure out what happened,” said Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Dave Woodford.

The crash comes four days after a 17-year-old tech entrepreneur
died on Hwy. 403 when lost control of his Jeep Wrangler, which
skyrocketed five metres into the air and slammed into an overpass.
