A heartbroken Queens mother says she doesn’t have a reason to live following a deadly drunk-drivin car accident that killed her husband and two children on Long Island on Sunday.
The driver identified as O’Neil Sharpe Jr. was driving west in a BMW on the Southern State Parkway when he rear-ended the family’s Toyota causing it to burst into flames, NBC New York reported. Sharpe was charged with driving while intoxicated and fleeing the scene.
Wife and mother, Lucnie Bouaz-Ostane managed to escape the car with minor injuries but was unable to rescue her husband Ancio Ostane, 37, her daughter Sephora, 4, or her son Andy, 8.
“I don’t have a future,” she said later to NBC 4 New York. “I don’t have a reason to live, to go to work.”
