Boston Blazers coach Tom Ryan knows youth lacrosse is growing fast, with a 500 percent increase in participants since 1999, according to U.S. Lacrosse.
Now it’s just a matter of getting them hooked on the city’s NLL indoor team, which opens the 2010 campaign against the Toronto Rock on Saturday at the TD Garden.
“We’re definitely seeing more excitement around the team this year than last year,” Ryan said.
“More and more kids are playing and taking notice of the indoor game, and the organization has done a great job getting the word out to youth players and coaches.”
