On July 11, people from around the globe will acknowledge World Population Day. This day is observed every year to raise awareness of issues concerning global population, including gender equality, family planning, poverty and human rights.
Metro crunched the numbers and created this graphic that displays interesting statistics about global population ranging from the percentage difference between the rich and the poor to the prediction of the increase in world population in 2050.
