Invite Only brings a ‘social dining experience’ to Meatpacking

Most nights, just walking through the Meatpacking District is entertainment enough. When you’re looking for dinner with your show there’s Invite Only, a new “social dining experience” at 63 Gansevoort St.

Wind your way along hallways with climbing vines into a 122-seat piano bar-style lounge — think a plush speakeasy. Executive chef Jordan Andino, an alum of Spago and French Laundry, created a menu of small plates like Korean barbecue ribs with kimchi coleslaw and fried chicken sliders on Hawaiian bread.

The live entertainment will come in many forms, from street performers to harpists — in an ingenious move to keep disturbances during the performance to a minimum, save your waiter a few trips by ordering cocktails by the pitcher. Drinks include the Sweet 100 (bourbon, sweet tea, lemon, ginger syrup) and Dead Man’s Curve (mezcal, Cointreau, orange bitters, sweet vermouth).

Invite Only is now open beginning at 5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
