J.K. Simmons gets a sweet tribute

Sure, an Oscar is nice and all, but how impressive is it, really, compared to a portrait made entirely out of M&M’s? Newly minted Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons received just such an honor from the candy company following his Academy Award for “Whiplash.” Simmons — who has also been the voice of the yellow M&M in commercials for nearly 20 years, can now place his numerous awards season trophies beneath his smiling, candy-colored face.

Fair question, though: How long do M&M’s keep for? And what happens if there’s a heatwave? Or if some of his houseguests get the munchies?
