Jesse James revs up bike fans

Jesse James came and went – but he left his mark on the Wild West.

Hundreds of bike lovers, customizers and of course, women, were ecstatic with the chance to meet the bike idol of TV fame in person.

“I just came to see Jesse, and he was so down to earth and even cuter in person,” 22-year-old Amanda Hanes said.

James was just as excited to be in Calgary as Calgarians were to have him.

“I think it’s just cool to walk around and see what ideas they have here and get inspired,” James told Metro. “It’s exciting to see what different ideas people have.”

James brought three of his customized bikes to show off at the first annual King of Customs Motorcycle Show, which was a huge hit with fans this weekend according to promoter Patrick Nichol.

“It was awesome, it was a really great atmosphere and vibe. Everyone loved Jesse, and Jesse loved the city. It was just a really good time,” Nichol said, adding Sunday was the busiest day for the show.
