President John F. Kennedy’s granddaughter, Tatiana Schlossberg, tied the knot with her fiancé at the family’s Martha’s Vineyard home in Massachusetts over the weekend.

The 27-year-old daughter of Caroline Kennedy married 28-year-old George Moran on Saturday in a ceremony officiated by former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, the New York Times reported.

The newlyweds met in college while attending Yale.

Schlossberg, who also received a master’s degree in United States history from the University of Oxford, England, was an environmental reporter with the New York Times until July, where she covered climate change and the environment.
Moran is a fourth-year medical student at Columbia.

Schlossberg, her older sister Rose and younger brother Jack, are President Kennedy’s only grandchildren. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 on Caroline’s sixth birthday. Caroline has continued the tradition of public service in the Kennedy family, serving as ambassador to Japan under former President Barack Obama from 2013 to 2017. From 2002 to 2011, Caroline served as the vice chairwoman of the Fund for Public Schools in New York.

Caroline is also involved with the Boston-based John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Museum. The organization posted a note of congratulations to the happy couple on Tuesday, announcing the weekend wedding.

Schlossberg’s father, an artist, founded ESI Design, an interactive design firm in New York, of which he is the principal designer.

Moran’s parent’s, Mary J. Penniman and Garrett M. Moran, reside in Greenwich, Connecticut.  The groom’s mother is the treasurer of the board of Natural Resources Defense Council. His father is the president of Year Up in New York, a nonprofit organization that provides technical and professional training to low-income high school graduates who are unemployed and not enrolled in school. He previously served as the chief operating officer of the private equity group at Blackstone, the New York investment firm.
