Jimmy Fallon joked about Gronk and the Patriots on the ‘Tonight Show’

Adding insult to injury, Jimmy Fallon poked fun at a few Patriots players during a segment on Thursday night’s episode of the “Tonight Show.”

The pre-taped sketch aired on NBC after New England’s shocking loss to the Chiefs in the season opener at Gillette Stadium, which probably made for a tough watch for Pats fans. While the jokes may have a stung a bit more since Tom Brady and company came up short in their 42-27 defeat to Kansas City, they were still pretty funny.

Since he’s known for his partying ways, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski received the most spot on superlative during Fallon’s skit.

“We love Gronk,” Fallon said. “He was voted most likely to eat the umbrella that comes with a pina colada.”

In honor of the first game of the 2017 NFL season, fellow New England stars Chris Hogan and David Andrews were also roasted by Fallon on Thursday night, along with a few players from the Chiefs.

The wide receiver “was voted most likely to get into a crowded elevator and say ‘Ya’ll smell good,'” while the Patriots center “was voted human gummy bear.”
