Just two days before the Jonas Brothers were set to start their tour, the boy band canceled the engagement due to a “deep rift within the band,” reports PEOPLE. Spokesperson Jesse Derris said, “There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.”

Apparently, Nick, Joe and Kevin argued about the direction of their band and music and decided to cancel the tour as a result. Disappointed fans will get their money back.

The rep told PEOPLE the future “remains to be seen”: It sounds to us like this could be the road to a breakup.Recently, Nick, 21, and Joe, 24, have each released solo albums while eldest brother Kevin, 25, has a reality show on E! with his wife Danielle called “Married to Jonas.”

Despite the time apart, the trio worked together this past year to produce singles “Pom Poms” and “First Time.” Another source told PEOPLE the hiatus does not stem from the fact that Kevin is expecting a child, but is purely a result of “creative differences.”

Metro was supposed to interview the Jonas Brothers today, but just before the interview, we received a note from their publicist saying, “We have to push back the interview a bit” because “the guys are traveling and everything is getting a bit delayed.”

It looks like it may be longer than “a bit.”
