Alnoor Kassam for mayor?
Maybe, but the tight-lipped potential hopeful will only say he is “seriously considering” throwing his hat into the October Calgary leadership battle when Mayor Dave Bronconnier steps aside.
“I am thinking about running and I am putting together a campaign team and have started fundraising for a campaign,” Kassam said yesterday.
Though he won’t say how much he has raised, Kassam said he’s already started receiving $1,000 donations for his potential run. But if he decides not to run, he will return the money to donors.
“I have received a lot of emails and calls from people saying I should run, so deciding on the support and number of donors, I will consider it.”
