What a year it has been for Olympic swimming sensation Ryan Lochte.

Just two months after ruining U.S. relations in Brazil, Lochteis now engaged to be married. The Olympic gold medalist took his girlfriend, Playboy model Kayla Rae Reid, to the top of a mountain – overlooking the Pacific Ocean – and asked her to marry him. Reid said yes.

Lochte and Reid have been dating for less than a year.

“My family says, ‘Don’t you think it’s a little too soon?’ I’m like, ‘Can you put a time on love?,” Lochte recently told USA Today.
