While on patrol in Times Square during Thursday’s evening rush hour, police arrested a man — known for preying on women on subways — after he forcibly touched a passenger while on a train.

On April 21 at about 5:38 p.m. Lieutenant Luis Almonte and Police Officer Leslie Friday were conducting pickpocket and sex abuse subway patrol inside the Times Square 1, 2 and 3 subway station when they recognized a man — later identified as 59-year-old Wilson Bradley — they said was known to prey on female passengers, according to authorities.

The plainclothes cops then followed Bradley onto a northbound 3 train where they saw him get on a board closely behind a woman, police said.

After the subway door closed, police say Bradley stood behind the 24-year-old victim and repeatedly thrust and twirled his hips against the woman.

Once the train arrived at the 72nd Street station, both the victim and Bradley got off, cops said. Officer Friday then identified herself to the victim, who then told her about what had just happened on the train.

Lieutenant Almonte went up to Bradley and identified himself as a cop and placed him under arrest.

Upon further investigation, police found that the Bronx resident was a registered level 3-sex offender. Bradley was charged with persistent sexual abuse and forcible touching.
