Station 250, a luxury apartment complex in Dedham, some 11 miles as-the-crow-flies southwest of Boston, is adjacent to Legacy Place, an open-air retail and entertainment center that opened last summer . “Once Legacy opened, things really took off,” says Station 250’s property manager Aaron Allsopp.
This relationship works in reverse, too. Legacy Place gains from the 285 apartments just steps away. “We put in the walkway and the lighting to make it safe,” says Beth Winbourne, Legacy Place’s general manager. “People walk from Station 250 and don’t have to bother with parking.”
Even if residents work in Boston — the commuter rail and I-95 are just minutes away — they don’t have to play there. Chains like Urban Outfitters and Williams-Sonoma sit side-by-side with local businesses. Need a cut? Head to SalonCapri. How about a romantic dinner? There’s boutique dining at Aquitaine and Met Bar and Grill. Hanging out with friends? Kings Lanes is perfect.
Station 250’s own amenities include a courtyard with a heated pool and fire pit; a lounge with TV and billiards; and a 24-hour fitness area. The units are fitted with granite counters, crown molding, and some have fireplaces and balconies. Pricing ranges from $1,600 to $2,700 per month.
