If you have been searching for the perfect cloud-based storage solution and have been bouncing around between popular storage solutions from Dropbox, Google or Microsoft, then Amazon might have the best deal around.

Amazon has just announced unlimited cloud storage for $12 a year.

Here are the two plans from their press release:

  • Unlimited Photos Plan (free 3-month trial, then$11.99per year—equivalent of less than$1per month):Store an infinite number of photos inCloud Drivewithout worrying about taking up space on phones, cameras, or other devices. Customers can upload existing collections and store all future photos taken. This plan also includes 5 GB of additional storage for videos or other documents and files.
  • Unlimited Everything Plan (free 3-month trial, then$59.99per year—equivalent of less than$5per month):Store an infinite number of new and existing photos, videos, files, documents, movies, and music inCloud Drive.

These new offers from Amazon will attract photographers. For just $1 per month you’ll be able to store an infinite amount of photos on the Cloud Drive and not have to worry about running out of space anywhere. If you’re a serious photographer and shoot in RAW format, you’ll be happy to know that Cloud Drive will save popular formats including Nikon’s NEF, Canon’s CR2, Adobe’s DNG and Sony ARW.

If you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber this unlimited photo storage is included with your subscription. It will only cost $12 a year if you’re not already subscribed.
