An ugly custody battle is brewing between two beautiful people — actress Halle Berry and model Gabriel Aubry.

Berry “was forced to pull out of a film production in New York this week due to pending custody litigation involving her daughter,” Berry’s rep said in a statement. “She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, directly — but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention.”

Sources tell that Berry is spreading the word that Aubry is “a crazed, jealous man who put their child at risk,” while Aubrey claims Berry flies into jealous rages around the child and doesn’t show up to take care of their baby, Nahla, 2, when she’s supposed to.

Worst of all??The film Berry dropped out of was Gary Marshall’s latest ensemble rom-com, “New Year’s Eve” — she’ll now be replaced by Katherine Heigl. Berry being replaced by Heigl? That’s the worst outcome of any custody hearing we’ve known.
