One actress wanted to document the entertainment’s seedier side on Tumblr.

A London-based actress who calls herself “Miss L” wants the rest of the world to see the “ridiculousness of the acting world.” She created the Tumblr “Casting Call Woe,” a blog that rounds up the worst of the worst when it comes to casting calls.
Could you be “summed up as a loud, harmless fart”? Or would you work for juice and cookies, or a sandwich and fruit? Congratulations – you’ll have no problem finding acting opportunities in the U.K., then.
One casting director is looking for a middle-aged woman. What does that mean? “Aged 32-36.”
And if you think dancing in lingerie isn’t a dream job, think again: “Must be happy being filmed dancing in lingerie, after all, you are being paid £160 cash!”
One novice filmmaker had quite a tall order: “Hi, I’m a film student making a project for college and I’m looking for someone who can eat fire while back flipping over midgets and then tap dance to Irish folk-metal, you can be any height and any gender.
“P.S I am also looking for midgets or just very, short people (4’6 and under)
“Also if you are obese you may be of use too.”
Other casting calls ask for women with “teardrop breasts” or actresses who are “not ugly.” L told the Telegraph she set up the blog as “a way of letting the world know about these casting calls and a way of showing the world a side of the industry that it doesn’t generally see.”
