In order to drum up excitement for “Detox,” his first album in 11 years, Dr. Dre is teaming with Mafia Wars on Facebook. While you ignore your work playing Mafia Wars, you can visit a “Hustlin’ wit Dre” section to earn Dre-themed mastery items for a chance to win real-life prizes, like an autographed copy of the new album (which comes out in February) or Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. Players can also view Dre’s newest music video, “Kush” (featuring Snoop Dogg and Akon), and a special video shout-out from the rapper.
Too bad he also didn’t take the campaign to FarmVille — although we guess the word “hoe” would make it too confusing.
