Remember adorable Paddington Bear? Of course you do. The sweet children’s book character, illustrated by Peggy Fortnum, is now serving as the style muse for a new limited-edition collection for babyGap. Meaning, if you are about to have a child, you might want to edit your registry — and if you already have a little one at home, it’s time to play dress up.
The collection, which features items for boys and girls ranging in size from newborn to 24 months, includes chic spring staples such as a navy rain parka with toggle closure, yellow Wellington rain boots and knit hat with little bear ears — yes, hats with ears are considered staples for kids.
Moms living in New York have the added bonus of taking their tots to an interactive playroom set up at Gap’s Fifth Avenue location through February. There, kids are encouraged to decorate walls set up like coloring books and listen to the Paddinton Bear audio collection. BYO marmalade, though.
