The inventors of the product were inspired to create it when they realized car seats weren’t being designed to match vehicles’ increase in speed. On impact, a fireproof airbag is released, keeping the baby in a cocoon with 20 minutes of air supply. Then, an emergency signal is emitted with GPS coordinates.

If you haven’t been subject to the stroller struggle yourself — fighting to open or close it every time — you’ve most likely witnessed it. The 4moms Origami Stroller eliminates that problem with the click of a button: The stroller opens or closes in seconds. And if you’re worried your babysitter will get a little click happy, don’t. The stroller comes with a sensor to make sure caregivers don’t accidentally close the stroller with the baby still inside. Other tech features include a phone charger, LCD screen showing you that your baby is safely secured and lights for evening walks.
3. Angelcare Baby Monitor A1100, $184.99
When merely hearing that your baby is sleeping isn’t enough to give you peace of mind, the Anglecare Baby Monitor A1100 lets you actually see that all is safe and sound with its LCD touchscreen. There is also a two-way walkie-talkie so you can coo your baby back to sleep without getting out of bed. Other tech features include a night light, temperature display, portable recharging unit, zoom in and out feature, adjustable camera angle and timer.
4. Bloom Fresco High Chair, $450
For $450, you might expect this high chair to feed your baby itself. While feeding time will still be up to you, it at least keeps your kid comfy during more than just mealtimes. Aimed at newborns to 36 months, the high chair boasts three recline positions so your baby can go straight from mealtime to nap time. It also swivels 360 degrees, and the seat is designed to direct spills outward.
5. Cry Translator iOS app, $4.99
Sometimes you know exactly why your baby is crying, but other times you may be thinking, “What do you want?” For those distressing moments, parents can consult the Cry Translator app, which analyzes a baby’s cry and tells you what he or she wants, and gives helpful suggestions. And thankfully, it only takes 10 seconds. In a clinical test, babies stopped crying 96 percent of the time after parents took the app’s suggestions.
