After dodging the question for months — and presumably running out of maxi dresses — Mariah Carey has finally confirmed that she’s pregnant.
“Yes, we are pregnant,” she told “Access Hollywood” in an interview alongside husband Nick Cannon that aired on Thursday night. “It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”
It seems they were waiting to make an announcement after suffering a miscarriage two years ago, but are excited to be parents: “The greatest gift on Earth is a child,” says Cannon. “We’ve had names picked out from the first day we met.”
So, basically they confirmed what we’ve suspected all along: They are adorable together, impossibly classy in the face of gossip columns and look better than us even when expecting.
We need some Halloween candy and a conveniently flow-y top over here, stat.
