There are just some books that leave you hungry. (Like these.) One such book is Orangette blogger Molly Wizenberg’s memoir, “Delancey.” Wizenberg is a food blogger, so you’d think when her husband announces to her that he’s dropping out of grad school to open up a pizza place, she’d be thrilled, right? Wrong. So wrong. “Delancey” tells the story of the ups and downs of opening the restaurant, while giving an honest, sometimes humorous look at marriage. It’s also full of delicious recipes, one of which is below:

Chilled Peaches in wine
(Adapted from “Delancey” by Molly Wizenberg)

Ingredients:
4 ripe peaches, rinsed and patted dry
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups dry white wine or rose

Directions:
Slice the peaches very thin. Combine the peaches and sugar in a large bowl or storage container, and toss gently to mix. Add the wine, and toss gently again. Taste, and if you’d like more sweetness, add sugar, a tablespoon at a time. When they’re sweetened to your liking, cover the container and refrigerate for several hours or up to one day. Serve the peaches very cold, straight from the refrigerator, in short, wide glasses, with a small ladleful of their liquid. Eat the peaches, and then drink the liquid left in the glass.
