On Monday night, Ralph Lauren kicked it into high gear by taking Fashion Week 4-D. The POLO show craftily synced art and technology for a futuristic catwalk in one of the city’s most iconic landmarks: Central Park.
Golf carts chauffeured a celeb-studded crowd to Cherry Hill, where a runway seemed to levitate directly over the lake ahead of a 60-by-150-foot water screen. Holographs, music and models merged seamlessly for a holistic, eye-defying experience — we could swear Lauren’s lanky, leggy all-American girls were walking on water.
Though it was chilly outside for the first time this fall, lobster rolls and mini burgers helped keep guests warm — and let’s not forget the piece de resistance: an open bar. The special showcase coincided with the opening of a new flagship POLO store on Fifth Avenue.
