No insurance? See a dentist for free on Friday

Don’t want to show anyone your pearly whites?

Steinway Family Dental Center (32-50 Steinway St., Astoria) is having its semi-annual Free Dental Day this Friday for new patients who have no insurance and can’t afford dental care. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Steinway doctors will be providing preventive services such as dental cleanings, fillings, root canals (if it can be completed that day) and consultations to adults and children.

If you’ve been putting something off, get it looked at — oral health doesn’t just mean fresh breath and nice teeth; it’s linked to overall health, including heart disease and diabetes if periodontal diseases are left untreated.
