Women at a business conference in Dubai got a surprising bit of advice from a female doctor.
Delegates at the Arab Women in Leadership and Business Summit on Monday were outraged when Dr. Maryam Matar told the audience, “I noticed all decisions that I regret were directly related to my estrogen,” according to 7Days.
In her speech, “Emirati women as partners and contributors in the nation-building proress,” Matar went on to say that high estrogen levels can lead to making bad decisions, and advised the attendees to skip board meetings and instead drink tea to “be less violent” during the two days before their cycles resumed.
Attendees were not impressed.
