Raise money for fighting HIV while you exercise

Nike+ app
Provided

A new partnership between Nike, (RED) and Bank of America is giving people an easy way to raise money for fighting HIV and AIDS. For every mile users track using the Nike+ app, Bank of America will donate 40 cents to (RED)’s Global Fund.

Running or walking just one mile is enough to provide someone with two life-saving pills called antiretrovirals (ARVS) which can prevent HIV-positibe women from passing the virus to her unborn baby, if taken daily.

Every step counts! Log your miles as you walk to the subway, walk up the stairs to your apartment and even while grocery shopping and you’ll see the miles and donation money rack up. You can also make it a family initiative by tracking miles while you take your kids trick-or-treating. This is a literal way for you to take steps to saving lives.

The partnernship is going on now and will continue through December 8. Just opt into the Nike+ app and the donation will automatically be made.
