So long to Dr. Drew?

While the sixth season of “Celebrity Rehab” is currently airing on VH1 with Michael Lohan, Amy Fisher and Bai Ling, it won’t be for much longer, as the reality series is reportedly going on indefinite hiatus, according to Radar Online. “The decision was made to put the show on hiatus because Dr. Drew Pinsky is just too busy to continue to do the show,” a source says.

“The amount of time Dr. Drew has to commit to treating celebrities on the show is a tremendous amount of time.” Too busy? Or too evident that his methods are more for entertainment and profits than to truly help the addicts? Sure, we’ve always known that despite Drew’s sober demeanor and credentials, “Celebrity Rehab”?was a farce. But then former contestant Jeff Conaway died in May, blatantly showing that rehab in exchange for viewers is a deadly way to help addicts. It’s all entertainment until someone dies — Dr. Drew now knows he can’t dilute his lucrative brand with yet another “celebrity” succumbing to his or her demons.

What’s in a name?

Victoria and David Beckham welcomed their fourth child, a girl named Harper Seven, Sunday morning in Los Angeles, according to People magazine. The baby arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces. “Harper is an old English name that [Victoria] has always liked,” a source close to Victoria, 37, and David, 36, tells Us Weekly. “Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family,” a Beckham spokesperson says of the family’s three sons. Because of the name Harper Seven, a new game started online where you can make your own Beckham baby name. To find yours, choose the first name of your favorite author and then your favorite Brad Pitt film. So mine would be Flannery the Mexican, which will totally be my mob name if this whole “gossip columnist” stuff doesn’t work out.
