On Friday, we asked you to let us know what you thought about Oksana Grigorieva appearing on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on the condition that she also play the piano and sing, which screamed “career advancement” to us. Your reactions ranged from, “Um, what career?” to that it “may not be so much a sign of loveless opportunism as an attempt to define herself as something other than Mad Mel’s punching bag.” But the war between the two camps continued over the weekend with TMZ.com reporting that “several sources mentioned that Oksana once accused baby daddy Timothy Dalton of abuse.” Oksana’s attorney, Dan Horowitz, angrily retorted, regarding the “sources” (cough, Mel Gibson, cough): “Faceless cowards who leak half-truths and lies are pathetic little Gollums who thrive in gossip-y nastiness and who shrivel if they are forced to say their name.”
Wow. What a mess. Did anyone else feel bad for Gibson’s wife, Robyn, when he divorced her for Grigorieva??And yet, she’s the one who made out like a bandit in this entire situation — a hefty alimony and blessed peace and quiet.
