The most popular baby names of 2013

Would you name your kid Katniss or Django? Plenty of parents did in 2013.

The most popular unisex name of 2013: Rowan.

If you think naming your new baby Atticus will set him apart on the playground, think again. Literary names, including that one, top the list of the most popular baby names of the year.

Compiled by Nameberry, a 50,000-name database, the most popular names are pretty surprising. There are no Emilys, Jennifers or even Bellas -- a popular name from last year.

Interestingly, the names topping the list are mostly classic literary names, like Charlotte and Oliver.

And as usual, the influence of popular culture was not lost on new mothers in 2013. Katniss is the 15th most popular name for girls, sharing the spot with Django for boys. Celebrity picks likePenelope (Kourtney Kardashian's daughter's name) and Ivy (heard of Blue Ivy?) made the top 10.
