There are a lot of distractions in this dang world of ours. Luckily, one industrious inventor is taking the guesswork out of life and forcing us to make decisions the old fashioned way, with painful electric shocks.
Introducing the, um, Pavlok. This armband gently nudges you toward healthy behavior via the therapist-approved power of bodily harm. If you don’t do what the armband wants you to do it shocks you. If you don’t do what your friends, via a Facebook app, want you to do it, well, shocks you. Finally, pain gets social!
If this masochistic gadget appeals to you, you have waiting to do. The Pavlok won’t be out until sometime in 2015. Until then you’ll just have to hire someone to punch you when you screw up.
