Los Angeles County health officials are looking into the possibility that attendees at a fundraiser at Hugh Hefner’s famed Playboy Mansion earlier in the month might have contracted an infectious disease.

Los Angeles County health officials are looking into the possibility that attendees at a fundraiser at Hugh Hefner’s famed Playboy Mansion earlier in the month might have contracted an infectious disease.

And, no, it’s not among the usual infectious diseases spread there; rather, it’s a strange respiratory outbreak. Eighty conference guests were reported sick, and at least four participants were reportedly diagnosed with a mild form of Legionnaires disease. The California Department of Public Health reports they are suffering from ailments including fever, headaches and body aches — not to mention any additional injury that might happen to them when various wives figure out where their husbands picked up their little case of the flu.
