The Word: Channing Tatum takes it off again in ‘Magic Mike’

Before his impossibly square jaw and superhero-grade shoulders were landing him movie roles, Channing Tatum was a stripper — not that he’s shy about it. His new film, “Magic Mike,” is loosely based on his former gig, and he wants everyone to see it — not just those who would have killed to play his little spoon in “The Vow.”

“With Joe Manganiello naked in a movie, I think even straight guys are going to be, ‘S—t, I need to see that,” the actor tells OUT’s June/July issue of his costar. “That man is a specimen.”

But while he’s never tried to hide the fact that he was an exotic dancer, Tatum admits he prefers his new job to stripteasing. “You are on a stage with people yelling at you, and you feel you’re a rock star, but you’re nothing — you’re just a guy taking off his clothes, looking like a fool in a stupid outfit.”

We would point out that he essentially did the same exact thing in “Dear John,” but there was that scene where he squinted on a porch for awhile.

Wine pairings, ‘Real Housewives’ style

When we caught up with “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice to talk about her new book, “Fabulicious Fast & Fit,” she let us in on another project she’s working on.

“I just formulated my own bellini — it’s called Fabellini, and it’s peach and raspberry,” she says. “Eventually it’s gonna be national, it’s gonna be sold at all liquor stores. That would go great with any of my meals.”

Fabellini’s with fabulicious food: We love it when a Jersey girl does our wine pairings.

Second Travolta accuser drops suit, lawyers up

The second man to accuse John Travolta of fouls on the massage table has dropped his lawsuit but hired Gloria Allred, the same high-profile attorney now representing his first accuser.

“We believe that the lawsuit should be filed in another court and, therefore, the lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice,” Allred tells TMZ. “We will be conferring with our client regarding what will happen next in this case.”

As for Travolta’s lawyers, they’re one step ahead of you. “Not one penny has been paid nor do we have any intention to pay any money for these ridiculous and false claims,” Marty Singer tells TMZ.

Lopez holding out?

Although Jennifer Lopez has cited family commitments as the reason she’s hesitant to sign on to Season 3 of “American Idol,” there could be simpler, most established motives at play: money and publicity.

“JLo and ‘American Idol’ are striving for headlines. Along with it being ‘strictly business,’ she is also for sure wanting more money than Britney Spears to return,” a source tells PerezHilton.com.

Considering Spears is raking in $15 million for doing the honors on “X Factor,” we’re not sure she’ll get it — and we don’t envy the person who tells her that.
