Ugh. Well, apparently readers want to know what’s currently happening with Taylor Armstrong, the tragic “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star whose husband Russell Armstrong committed suicide last month, allegedly distraught over finances and his divorce with Taylor.
So, where should we start with the sadness? The terrifically awful? Or the just kind of awful? Actually, nevermind, it’s all terrifically awful, because everyone is talking about Tuesday night’s “Entertainment Tonight,” when Armstrong told host Nancy O’Dell that her husband was abusive. “He would grab me by one side of the hair on my head and bang the other side of my head against the car,” she said about Russell. Once, she said, he “grabbed me by the neck and shoved me up against the wall and he said, ‘If you ever make my children a pizza without a vegetable again, I’ll kill you.’”
Cheery, no? Oh, but that’s not all. Armstrong says she told her 5-year-old daughter that her father “got sick and he died.” She also told the little girl “we could pick a star in the sky and it could be daddy, and that she could talk to him every night.”? “Entertainment Tonight” reportedly paid Armstrong $125,000 for a photo she says was taken after a brutal beating by Russell; the show aired it all week as a promo to Tuesday’s interview. Armstrong apparently needed the quick cash since it seems her “rich” husband was actually totally broke and is now totally dead.
