The Word: Feeling bad for Paris Hilton

Is it possible to feel bad for Paris Hilton? In the immortal words of Fergie Ferg, she’s so 2000-and-late. And yet, she’s still trying to recapture that fleeting fame from the early aughts. So it is with a heavy heart I announce to you the debut of Paris Hilton’s latest reality show, “The World According To Paris.” Starting June 1 on the Oxygen network (watch out, Nora Roberts movie adaptations; there’s a new show in town), “The World According to Paris” promises not to be the same ol’ Paris Hilton reality show. “[It’s] an inside look into my life, my relationship, my family, friends and everything that happens on a daily basis. There’s a lot of laughs, tears, drama and fun,” she says to RadarOnline. “Viewers are going to get to see the real me and get to see what it’s like to be me.”

Translation: “‘The World According to Paris’ is yet another feeble attempt to get back into the fading reality TV spotlight stolen from me by the Kardashian sisters.”

What can Hilton do to get back in the public consciousness — besides release yet another sex tape? Write in with your suggestions.

New couple alert?

Leonardo DiCaprio may already be moving on from Bar Refaeli with his potential “Great Gatsby” co-star, Blake Lively, according to Hollyscoop. DiCaprio entertained Lively — along with Steven Spielberg and Lukas Haas — aboard a private yacht off the coast of Cannes, and the two looked very chummy in photographs of the get-together. The pair have also been spotted out together several times in the last few weeks. Lively previously dated her “Gossip Girl” co-star Penn Badgely, though the pair split last year.
