The Word: It’s time to lay off the Botox, Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell, 51, is no stranger to Botox. The rabid fan of the wrinkle injection has been quoted as saying, “To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste.” He reportedly gave Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh, his British “X-Factor” co-stars, $4,500 worth of Botox each as a Christmas present in 2010 (although I’m not sure how much I believe that).
Sadly, it seems like the media mogul has gone a bit too far with the artificial enhancements. In June, he was seen on the British version of “The X-Factor” with a dropping eye and small bruise by his cheekbone, thought to be a Botox injection gone bad.
And during his recent media blitz here to promote the U.S. version, Cowell is looking more, well, sandpapered than usual, as this photo of him on “The Tonight Show” last week shows.
It’s shocking when already handsome men resort to dramatic facial changes. A sad, recent case in going too far? Rupert Everett.
Remember: You’re lucky, guys. Unlike female celebrities, you’re allowed to grow old gracefully. Sure, if you lose your hair, you’ll be thrown to the wolves and eaten alive. But wrinkles? You get a pass.
Gosling loves Disney
Ryan Gosling apparently has something of an obsession with the happiest place on Earth, as on more than one occasion he’s treated dates to trips to Disney Land, according to Us Weekly. The “Drive” star has previously taken Kat Dennings and Blake Lively to the theme park, and earlier this month he showed up with rumored girlfriend Eva Mendes.
“Ryan’s like a big kid,” a source says. “He loves all the classic rides and food, like the Mickey-shaped ice cream bars.”
That, or he’s a creepy Michael Jackson type. Kidding! It’s probably just that his capacity for fun equals his hotness. Right?? Right?!
