The Word: S— my real estate developer says

Can someone please take Twitter away from Donald Trump?

Can someone please take Twitter away from Donald Trump? Whereas the reality TV host's bombastic behavior is ratings gold on "The Apprentice," on social media it's frankly embarrassing.

On Tuesday night, Trump had a bit of a Twitter meltdown over Mitt Romney's loss of the presidential election. The real estate mogul tweeted on the false assumption that Obama would lose the popular vote but win the White House thanks to the electoral college. One of the nuggets? "Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! The world is laughing at us."

Then, "NBC Nightly News" did something weird: Host Brian Williams read a few of the tweets on air. He basically rolled his eyes at the missives of his fellow NBC star, saying: "Donald Trump has driven well past the last exit to relevance and veered into something closer to irresponsible."

Well, that didn't sit right with Trump, who is now attacking Williams, calling him a "dummy." Via Twitter, Trump retorted: "Brian, I hope @NBCNightlyNews isn't paying you too much -- look at what's happening to nightly news. Brian Williams was never a smart guy but always passes himself off as such. People will learn the truth!"

And then: "The only thing more boring than @bwilliams newscast is his show Rock Center which is totally dying in the ratings -- a disaster!"

So basically, Trump on Twitter is the equivalent of your crazy grandfather typing out letters to the local newspaper about some made-up injustice or another, but with a much larger microphone.

'Modern Family' actress pulled from home

"Modern Family" actress Ariel Winter, 14, was taken from her home amid reports of physical and emotional abuse from her mother, TMZ reports. Sources tell the site that a judge gave Winter's sister, Shanelle Workman, temporary guardianship after a hearing on Oct. 3, and that Winter's mother, Crystal Workman, must stay 100 yards away from Ariel.

Apparently (and unfortunately) this isn't the first time abuse allegations have struck this family, however. The Department of Children and Family Services removed Shanelle from Crystal's home almost 20 years ago on similar accounts of abuse. Shanelle was reportedly in foster care for two years and did not return to her mother's home.

A report saying that Winter is looking to divorce her parents over a rift between her and her boyfriend is false, TMZ claims.

Before the Oct. 3 hearing, Winter tweeted: "ALWAYS be strong. Stand up for yourself."

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for Nov. 20.
