Kanye West drew inspiration from contemporary artist Vanessa Beecroft (or Solange’s wedding) for his much-hyped fashion show with Adidas. There was just so much to gawk at on and off the runway, like Kim Kardashian and North strategically seated between Anna Wintour and Jay-Z and Beyonce — none of them looked pleased about it.
For the main act, models, including a makeup free Kaylie Jenner, stood in formation wearing sports bras and briefs with sheer stocking like body suits on top. The collection was West’s take on active wear.
“I don’t want the clothes to be the life,” he said in the press release. “I want the clothes tohelpthe life.” The line included quilted vests, tattered sweatshirts and sleek bomber jackets in army colors which actually might have stolen the show.
