The White House announced that President Donald Trump will sign an executive order regarding energy production and job creation.
“President Donald J. Trump’s Energy Independence Executive Order takes historic steps to lift the restrictions on American energy, reverse government intrusion, and cancel job-killing regulations,” according to the White House. “The EO will allow the EPA to focus on its primary mission of protecting our air and water.”

“When we evaluate energy, let’s look at the social cost of not having a job,” Trump’s Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke said in a Twitter post on Tuesday ahead of the executive order.
