Two people were killed on Manhattan train tracks in separate incidents that took place in the early hours of Sunday, transit officials said.

An unidentified trespasser who had wandered into the Metro-North tunnel under Park Avenue near 67th Street was killed around 2 a.m., a Metro-North spokesperson said, adding that so far there was no explanation for the individual’s presence there.

Only an hour later, a man who appeared to have been attempting to move between subway cars was found under the wheels of a Q train, an MTA spokesperson said.

A subway conductor was attempting to leave Prince Street station on a 57th Street-bound train when the train went into emergency mode, indicating some obstruction. The conductor got out to investigate and found the body on the tracks.
