7-Eleven clerk pistol-whipped, bound in robbery

The crime happened about 4:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on the 2900 block of Welsh Road.

A 6o-year-old clerk at a 7-Eleven store in Northeast Philadelphia was pistol-whipped and bound with zip ties during a robbery Friday morning.

 

The masked thieves stole all the money from the store's cash register and a large amount of cigarettes before fleeing, 6ABC Action News reports.

 

The crime happened about 4:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on the 2900 block of Welsh Road.

 

The victim, who had cuts and bruises to his face and head, refused to go to a hospital.
