Former Patriots tight end and accused murderer Aaron Hernandez carried a gun with him at all times, became paranoid and often used angel dust (PCP) to get high, according to Rolling Stone.
The piece speaks on Hernandez’s past extensively, showing that his downward spiral may have began when his father, Dennis, died in 2006.
In addition, Rolling Stone says that Patriots head coach Bill Belichick actually threatened to trade or release Hernandez in March after the tight end was involved in an alleged domestic incident. The story goes on to say that Belichick told Hernandez that he should be discreet and that it was a good idea to “rent a safe house.”
Prosecutors say that Hernandez orchestrated the fatal shooting of Odin Lloyd in North Attleboro, Mass. the morning of June 17.
