Affenpinscher named winner of dog show

Banana Joe, or Joey, an affenpinscher, won Best in Show at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night.

The black dog with a monkey-like face defeated six other dogs and became the first of his breed to win the title, the New York Times reports.

The judge who chose Joey said the dog has a fantastic face and a great body, and he’s never seen a better affenpinscher.

The 5-year-old dog will now retire and head back to the Netherlands, where he was born.
