Adam Wheeler is no Frank Abagnale Jr., but he certainly tried.

The 23-year-old Dela-ware man was indicted by a grand jury on 20 offenses for pretending to be

something he wasn’t, the Middlesex district attorney’s office announced yesterday.

Wheeler, who spent three years as a Harvard undergrad, allegedly falsified and plagiarized his records, resume and application packets.

Wheeler “cheated those who competed honestly for what he fraudulently received,” Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said.

He will be arraigned today on charges including identity fraud and larceny.
