A Boston man was charged with the recent break-ins at a pair of downtown churches.
Richard Shiner, 44, was charged with burglary and larceny from a building.
He allegedly broke into St. Leonard's Church on North Bennet Street and St. Anthony's Shrine on Arch Street and took some of the donation money from St. Leonard's.
Police are also investigating whether Shiner may be responsible for other recent church break-ins.
