Alternate side law proposal

NYC Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez intro­duced a regulation that would end alternate side parking rules as soon as the street is cleaned. Rodriguez claims the shorter cleaning periods would reduce pollution, but a Sanitation Department spokesman told the Daily News it’s impossible for parking agents to know whether a street has been cleaned or not — posing a problem for the parking reformer.
